Our history

We have 28 years of experience in the industry. We are local, reliable, community partners, and hire local employees.  We have the best equipment in the industry (lightweight and quiet) and the best team in the industry. 

Standstone was first founded in 1996 by Ken & Lisa Standeven after Ken tried to take a load of trash to the local landfill. The name was created by combining Lisa’s Maiden name (Featherstone) with Ken’s last name (Standeven). The original waste company was built with one truck and eventually sold in 2015. After a few years of retirement, Ken & Lisa decided to get back into the business and bought a Septic business (Chico’s Vacuum). Standstone Vacuum Services was established in 2018 and grew rapidly, after the amalgamation of Super Sucker Vacuum & Water. Once the Standstone name was out there again, we began getting calls for waste collection. If we see a need, we respond with the same awesome service we have always provided. In 2020 Standstone Vacuum changed its name to Standstone Waste & Water Services Ltd. and began working with municipalities, businesses, and homeowners in the waste collection industry.
